Primary Responsibilities
- Perform account reconciliations and analyses, and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles
- Review general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial reports and performance dashboard
- Analyze and prepare financial reports, including trend and variance analyses
- Involvement in projects to improve controls in internal process
- Review the work of others, conduct internal audits
- Support the analytical of billing, accounts receivable, and vendor payment operation
- Develop innovative approaches for continued improvement in efficiency and effectiveness
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance degree
- 3+ years of Accounting experience
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Proven to anticipate customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them
- Public accounting experience
- Healthcare insurance industry experience
- Experience with SQL and Microsoft Access
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI
- All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy
