POSITION SUMMARY:

The accounts receivable director is responsible for overseeing the processes of the account receivables department. Help or train staff to perform their daily duties to complete all transactions required. Perform day to day financial transactions and prepare bills - in accordance with the dealership standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
  • Verify account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from departments and customers
  • Ensure corrections to service and part tickets, if any errors appear to be present
  • Account, prepare, and process an accurate report for bank deposits daily, ensuring all transactions are accounted for - in compliance with financial procedures
  • Process and keep record of credit card transactions daily and maintain a balanced schedule of the statements for documentation purposes
  • Serve as liaison regarding all customer transactions by communicating with customers and departments. (via telephone, email, etc.) Such as, chargebacks, invoice statements, monthly reports etc.
  • Ensure all receivable schedules are current and balance
  • Resolve collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, etc.
  • Keep an organized filing system of all documentation, in accordance to the dealership standards
  • Cross train on various accounting task to provide effective teamwork and productivity
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Work experience in accounting or a related field
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the area of accounting
  • Advance computer skills, specifically in Reynolds and Reynolds
  • Understand the importance of and maintain confidentiality
  • Understand and follow work rules, policies, and procedures


EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Dealership experience preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass drug screening. Background checks are also required.
