Location: Carlsbad, CA – Hybrid = Tues, Weds, Thurs in office (subject to change)
Salary Range: $28.85 - $33.66 hour ($60k-$70k annual)
Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience.
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable specialist to join our accounting team. This is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of customer receivables; from fulfilling sales orders, creating invoices, posting payments, maintaining customer accounts, and following up with customers on past due invoices. The ideal candidate is experienced in driving collections while maintaining professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
- Invoicing: Fulfilling sales orders and creating customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Payment Processing: Recording and posting customer payments.
- Collections: Monitoring outstanding payments and following up with customers on overdue invoices.
- Reporting: Generating AR reports to be distributed inter-departmentally
- Customer Communications: Addressing customer inquiries regarding billing and payments by email and phone.
- Compliance: Ensuring all AR activities adhere to relevant regulations and company policy.
- Provide back-up support in other accounting areas as needed during employee absences and during peak deadline-driven periods.
- Collaborate with internal departments.
- Ability to travel to annual tradeshow.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s in business administration or accounting.
- 3-5 years of hands-on accounting and AR experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and the accounts receivable process.
- Proficiency using NetSuite ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with CRM software, particularly Salesforce.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with collections and dispute resolution.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
