Are you passionate about bringing joy and engagement to the lives of seniors? Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and creative Activities Assistant to join our team and help enrich the lives of our residents through meaningful activities and social programs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Activities Director in creating and posting monthly activity calendars.
- Place calendars in each resident’s room and in prominent locations throughout the facility.
- Interview residents and families to gather activity preferences.
- Escort and assist residents to and from activity locations.
- Facilitate and participate in daily group and one-on-one activities that promote physical, mental, and social well-being.
- Document attendance and resident responses in activity progress notes.
- Observe and report changes in resident behavior, mood, or engagement.
- Help coordinate off-site trips and special events.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless activity planning.
- Support Resident/Family Council meetings and quality assurance initiatives.
- Valid CNA License - Required
- Must be available to work every other weekend
- Minimum 1 year of experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting
