We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to assist in the Fiscal Office. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in administrative support, preferably in a finance environment. Candidates with strong Excel skills and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly will also be considered.

This state of New Mexico government agency oversees the state’s public and Tribal colleges, universities, and special schools. They also oversee adult education and literacy programs statewide, manage state-funded financial aid programs and capital projects for higher education institutions, provide college readiness services via the GEAR UP program, and grant state authorization to private colleges operating within New Mexico.

The Team You Will be Joining

Major duties
- Assist in managing electronic and hard-copy paperwork, ensuring timely completion for travel plans and team documentation.
- Maintain and update spreadsheets in Excel and the district shared drive with required information on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Scan, copy, and distribute documents for meetings, fiscal records, and program-related materials.
- Organize and track GUNM inventory in designated storage areas while coordinating supplies for meetings.
- Manage document submissions from Partner Districts, ensuring compliance and timely completion.
- Provide general administrative support to the State Director and GEAR UP staff, assisting with document management and fiscal office filing.
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency

- Prior State Experience
- Rate: $18.00/hour
- Contract: 3 months
- Worksite Location: Santa Fe, NM (87505)
- Fully onsite in Santa Fe!
