Job Summary

The Administrative Specialist III provides both administrative and clerical support to the department to ensure the administration and smooth running of departmental business. The Administrative Specialist III also serves as resource to staff.

  • General Administrative Support - Providing a wide range of administrative tasks to support the team.
  • Customer Service -Interacting with clients, visitors, and other stakeholders.
  • Office Management - Ordering supplies, managing inventory, and coordinating with vendors.
  • Communication - Answering phones, managing correspondence (email, mail, faxes), and handling inquiries.
  • Scheduling and Calendar Management - Coordinating appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for staff.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Experience: Three years of progressive administrative support experience, required.
  • Additional Skills Required:
    • Communication: Creates an environment that supports and respects diversity to promote creative problem solving. Communicates the value of activities within the organization and community to gain cooperation and collaborative partnership.
    • Customer Service: Holds staff accountable for customer service standards and ensures service recovery when needed. Ensures staff responds to customers in a timely manner.

    • Digital Fluency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, specifically Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Additional Skills Preferred:

    • Intellectual depth, moral integrity, personal vision, creativity, leadership skills, fortitude, sincerity, and diplomacy.
