- Specifications of responsibilities:
- Purchasing products from local and national vendors and manufacturers.
- Maintaining stock levels by means of predetermined reorder points
- Fulfilling purchase order requisitions from sales staff
- Managing and expediting existing purchase orders to insure a timely delivery. Via phone and/or email
- Receiving incoming product into the system from paperwork turned in from receiving department
- Managing and expediting direct shipment paperwork to insure receipt by accounting (as needed). Via phone and/or email
- Managing and resolving shipment discrepancies and damaged shipments. Via phone and/or email.
- Managing price documentation from vendors and manufacturers
- Maintaining pricing in the system
- Managing price quotes from assigned vendors and manufacturers
- Delegating cycle counts to warehouse management
- Reporting and/or adjusting cycle count results as needed
- Qualifications:
- Purchasing and inventory management experience
- Multi-tasking and prioritizing in a fast paced environment
- Computer and Microsoft Office experience
- Microsoft Excel skills required
- To learn and work with company software effectively
- To learn and implement company procedures effectively
