The Maybelline Brand Engagement Team is looking for a creative, strategic and consumer centric social media marketer to create content and social plans, moderate and engage with our community, and report insights across social channels.

Under the direction of the Director, Social and Content- this person will work collaboratively with the marketing and media teams, as well as cross-functionally with other key brand stakeholders as well as external teams (global/DMI, CDMO, agencies, creative partners, etc.) in support of programs and product launches to drive the success of the brand across social platforms. Existing social knowledge or a high level of interest within the makeup métier is key to success. They should have an eye on the marketplace and an understanding of social content that resonates in the US, with a knack for identifying emerging trends and clear understanding of reporting on metrics related to social KPIs.

Creation & Management Of Content

  • Serve as one of the faces of Maybelline across social and during brand events. With the added ability to shoot and edit content quickly, to post content in real-time to meet the needs of relevant trends/brand moments.
  • Create and assist creator program briefs, makeup artist briefs, internal creative briefs, and content ideation/brainstorms too engage audiences on social.
  • Assist with asset management for the BEL team (OPERA, internal & external asset delivery, BEL creator content & usage) with ability to adapt influencer/creator assets for owned channel as platforms pivot and needs evolve.
  • Develop consumer-centric content, partnering with production companies and internal stakeholders to enhance the brand’s presence on social. Review all social content/creator videos for feedback and approval. Work with manager as day-to-day contact for creative partners (internal & external) for content development, delivery and asset management.
  • Assist on set of all social shoots – both video and photo with duties including prop + production assistance, wardrobe, casting + BTS captures.
  • Review and work with Tiktok Shop affiliates and team to brief, approve, and manage content.

Management & Executuon Of Organic & Paid Social Media

  • Create social plans on a campaign/product launch basis to share back with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Organize US social content calendar for owned platforms & feedback against US business objectives, while ensuring that all product claims are legally compliant.
  • Collaborate with the Global (DMI) community manager to build monthly content calendars, with ability to reactively adjust based on trends or crisis communication needs.
  • Oversee brand community engagement across channels. Liaise with community management agency, CCC, labs, legal and marketing to generate approved responses to customer service inquiries within 24-48 hrs of inquiry
  • Prioritize proactive engagements across channels to participate in relevant cultural conversations from the brand handles.
  • Execute Surprise & Delight/Giveaway programming to drive Advocacy on a monthly cadence as defined by strategic needs.
  • Prepare assets and develop content to achieve paid social goals, as briefed by the media team
  • Collaborate cross functionally on all TikTok Shop strategy, affiliate relations and content to drive sales on the platform.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • minimum 2-3 years professional experience (post internship)
  • In-depth knowledge/experience with all major social media platforms and social management and analytics tools (i.e. Sprinklr, RivalIQ, Netbase)
  • Self-starter able to adapt quickly to changes in priorities and multi-task multiple projects.
  • Able to prioritize and manage time effectively, and to balance competing demands and priorities in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Must have experience on CapCut, Canva, Photoshop, Splice, TikTok, etc.
  • Strong project management skills and high level of organization, attention to detail and positive attitude.
  • Passion and excitement of the beauty industry and beauty experience is a must.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to maintain Maybelline persona and tone of voice through all captions
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to take direction and understand Maybelline NY unique mission and social identity, while layering your own creativity and fresh perspective
  • Flexibility to support during crisis communications in social, as needed.
