The University of Miami of Miami Health System is initiating a search for an Assistant Professor of Endocrinology.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide high quality medical care to patients with endocrine diseases
• Conducts examinations, assesses and evaluates symptoms, determines conditions, and prescribes medical treatment or services
• Provide outpatient and inpatient care to patients at University of Miami Health System and Jackson Memorial Hospital
• Engage in training of Endocrinology fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Oversees mid-level medical staff as assigned as well as nursing clinical staff
  
  

Desired Qualifications:

• MD/DO Degree required
• ACGME US Internal Medicine Residency
• Completed 3-year ACGME US Endocrinology Fellowship
• Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology (or board eligible) 
• Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing) 
• Valid DEA licensure 
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required
• Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
• Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
• Current BLS certification required. ACLS (if applicable)
• Valid DEA licensure
