JOB SUMMARY: We’re looking for an experienced Data Business Analyst to join our team in building a modern data and analytics platform that consolidates healthcare data from multiple provider systems. You'll play a key role in integrating claims data (EDI), clinical data (XML/CCDA/PHIR), and supplemental data into a Common Data Model, enabling analytics, reporting, API-based data access and UI design.

Job Roles And Responsibilities

  • Gather and document business requirements from internal teams and external providers
  • Analyze and map source data formats (EDI 837/835, XML, JSON) to a Common Data Model (CDM)
  • Define transformation and enrichment rules for claims and clinical data
  • Collaborate with data engineers to implement parsing and ingestion logic
  • Define KPIs and assist in building dashboards using BI tools (OAC, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Partner with QA to validate data accuracy, DQ rules, and reconciliation processes
  • Work with API developers to define data access layers and UI designers to display metrics
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide production go-live support
  • Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
  • Demonstrate Company's Core Competencies and values held within.
  • Please note due to the exposure of PHI sensitive data -- this role is considered to be a High Risk Role.

JOB SCOPE: This position works independently under general supervision to complete the assigned job responsibilities. Work performed is often varied and complex requiring a reliance on a knowledge base built through experience. The incumbent follows established procedures and uses knowledge of the Company's general business principles, industry dynamics, market trends, advanced math and analytic technologies and specific operation details when performing the duties of the position as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, And Training)

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst in a healthcare data environment.
  • Strong knowledge of EDI (837, 835), CCDA/XML, FHIR, JSON data structures.
  • Experience with data mapping, transformation logic, and Common Data Models.
  • Familiarity with clinical codes: ICD-10, CPT, LOINC, SNOMED, RXNORM.
  • Experience writing SQL for data profiling, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Oracle Analytics Cloud, or Tableau).
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and a collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure)
  • Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7)
  • Experience writing API specs or supporting UI/UX development is a plus

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $90k-100k. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
