Career and Credential Consultant VR Program Administrator Position Overview
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is seeking a knowledgeable professional to make a meaningful impact on employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities across Ohio.
As a Vocational Rehabilitation Program Administrator in Business Relations, you will serve as a liaison between OOD and Ohio's businesses, communities, and employers. You will be facilitating consultations, identifying hiring goals, and providing resources to enhance disability inclusion in the workplace. From evaluating workplace environments to addressing accessibility needs, you'll be at the forefront of creating inclusive employment opportunities for all.
In this role, you will develop and manage business relations activities with employer partners to promote the hiring of individuals with disabilities. You will provide technical assistance to VR staff through consultations and training about credential programs leading to in-demand jobs. Additionally, you will serve as the main point of contact for designated employers, coordinating candidate sourcing and delivering OOD's services.
To excel, you'll need strong communication, interpersonal, and partnership development skills, enabling you to analyze complex situations, develop comprehensive strategies, and provide training. You will collaborate with current and potential employer partners to develop solutions that break down barriers and promote equal employment opportunities. Furthermore, you'll leverage your knowledge of disability awareness, accessibility guidelines, and inclusive practices to drive positive change.

Division of Employer and Innovation Services (EIS) Division Overview
Division of Employer and Innovation Services (EIS) at Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) partners with employers to promote hiring individuals with disabilities and consults with businesses, communities, venues, and attractions to help them meet their accessibility and inclusion goals. In addition, EIS supports the agency in implementing process improvements for better customer service, manages data systems, and conducts research to improve our ability to meet the needs of Ohioans who could benefit from our services.
Pay Information
Starting salary will be step 1, subject to law or union contract requirements. New hires advance to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. There are cost of living increases to these rates each year and additional longevity supplements begin after 5 years. The current wage progression for this position is in the table below.

Locations Requirements
Our roles are primarily in-office to encourage collaboration and connection, however some locations may have adjusted on-site requirements based on space availability at this time. Reporting details will be provided by the supervisor before the start date. Employees must reside at a location that allows for reasonable response time to workplace reporting requirements.
Daytime travel within Ohio may be required. The selected candidate must provide own transportation or, in order to operate a state vehicle, must have a valid driver’s license.

- Completion of undergraduate core program in human service area, business or public administration or related field AND 12 months training or 12 months experience in supervisory, administrative or related position.
