We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join our team. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in providing support and guidance to individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing individualized service plans, offering crisis intervention, and maintaining accurate documentation of client progress. Responsibilities
Conduct intake interviews, client assessments, and diagnostic evaluations with empathy and professionalism.
Manage and monitor an assigned caseload, providing ongoing support and guidance to clients.
Collaborate with clients to identify personal goals and develop tailored service plans to support their journey towards wellness.
Offer crisis intervention and prevention services to individuals in distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of client interactions, including assessments, progress notes, and reviews, in compliance with regulatory standards.
Conduct audits of clinical records and practices to ensure adherence to agency standards and policies.
Support the review and development of division policies and procedures to enhance service delivery and quality of care.
Requirements
Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related human services field.
Previous experience in a behavioral health setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of mental health issues and treatment modalities.
Licensed or license-eligible in relevant discipline.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in client care.
