Summary/Objective

The Clinical Nutrition Manager provides coordination and management of Clinical Nutrition Services.

Essential Job Duties

• Coordinates medical nutrition therapy services through the supervision of six clinical dietitians, managing productivity and billing, approving menu substitutions, serving as department liaison and healthcare team member working with multiple departments.
• Gathers data from various sources then complies, sorts and interprets findings; producing reports on patient satisfaction initiatives, nourishment area audits, and test ray assessments for the foodservice management meetings
• Compiles and retains departmental compliance records, productivity reports, clinical audits, department employee files, dietitian schedules and calendars as well as other records that are determined needed for assuring overall compliance with all federal, state, local and hospital requirements and guidelines.
• Conducts employee evaluation and reviews, checks off on NICU nursing staff on formula room; as well as, maintaining the Health Touch database and manages clinical nutrition PIP.
• Updates menus and conducts nutrition analysis of menus and develops disaster menus and maintains a disaster preparedness folder.; as well as, reviewing and updating Clinical Nutrition policies and procedures and protocols
• Serves as a preceptor for Lamar University Dietetic Internship program; as well as, serving as a teacher for the diabetes education classes, and serving on multiple hospital committees.
  
  

Required Education And Experience

Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree and completion of a Dietetic Internship program.

5-10 years experience.

Required License/Certifications

Registered Dietitian, Licensed Dietitian on hire.
