Job Description
Purpose & Scope:
The Clinical Quality Analyst is responsible for the analysis and management of data to support process improvement activities, patient safety, and hospital quality assurance and reporting. VHC depends upon valid, well-analyzed, actionable data for continuous process improvement across multiple disciplines – quality, patient safety, nursing, and operations. The Data Analyst must be able to manage data and databases from multiple disciplines – clinical, governmental, and financial and business operations. The Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring the validity and integrity of data, and for maintaining small local databases for use by the quality department and the hospital.
Education
Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field is required.
Master's degree in health systems management, business administration, or in a related field is preferred.
Experience
One year of experience in healthcare and statistic analysis is preferred.
One year of experience in regulatory, safety, and CQI is required.
One Year Of Database Management Experience Is Required.
One year of proficiency using Microsoft Office, primarily Excel (macros and pivot tables) is required.
Certification/Licensure
One year of data interpretation/presentation experience is required.
