Major Duties And Responsibilities

• Uphold SmartBank Core Values & Core Purpose

• Monitor daily demand deposit transaction reports, auditing bank holds to ensure compliance with Regulation CC (Expedited Funds Availability Report).
• Conduct secondary review of applications, denials, and originations to assess compliance with regulatory issues.
• Prepare monthly compliance reports for the Risk Management Committee and quarterly reports for the Audit Committee, summarizing findings from secondary reviews.
• Assist in audit and examination preparations by gathering necessary documentation and supporting materials.
• Develop a thorough understanding of all federal and state regulatory regulations and stay informed of changes in the regulatory environment through ongoing education and training.
  
  

Ideal Candidates For The Role Will Include

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. High School or GED equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience in bank compliance or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of lending legal requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
