Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
• Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment required for projects.
• Prepare and submit detailed and accurate project estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other team members to ensure alignment on project scope and cost.
• Maintain organized records of bid documents, estimates, and project cost history.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions as needed.
• Assist with value engineering opportunities to offer cost-saving solutions.
• Track project budgets and compare actual costs against estimates to improve future bidding accuracy.
• Continuously stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and market conditions.
  
  

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar estimating role (commercial construction preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and technical documents.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other basic Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge of estimating software (preferred but not required - we can train the right person).
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to Commercial Construction Inc's methods and processes.
