Job duties include but are not limited to:

The Construction Manager will coordinate, and manage all aspects of a building project from start to finish, ensuring it's completed on time and within budget, while adhering to design specifications and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Project Planning & Management:
    • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
    • Oversee construction activities, ensuring they align with plans and specifications.
    • Monitor project progress and identify potential issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
    • Manage subcontractors and contractors, ensuring quality and timely completion of work.
  • Budget & Cost Control:
    • Estimate project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.
    • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Negotiate contracts and manage change orders effectively.
  • Quality Control & Safety:
    • Ensure adherence to building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols on the construction site.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality of work and identify defects.
  • Communication & Leadership:
    • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and team members.
    • Lead and motivate the construction team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
    • Resolve conflicts and address issues promptly and effectively.
  • Permitting & Documentation:
    • Obtain necessary permits and licenses for the project.
    • Maintain accurate records of project activities, including progress reports, change orders, and inspections.


Skills Required:

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Project Management Skills: Excellent planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
  • Communication & Leadership Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, lead teams, and resolve conflicts.
  • Budgeting & Financial Skills: Ability to estimate costs, manage budgets, and track expenses.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.


Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in a related field like construction management, engineering, or architecture is required, though we may consider associate degrees and relevant experience.
