What You'll Be Doing:

We are looking for a Scrum Master to oversee and guide development teams and support management. The role's responsibilities include ensuring that development teams follow Scrum Framework values and Agile practices, mentoring and motivating the teams to improve processes, facilitating meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminating team impediments. To be successful in this role, you should have a firm grasp of Agile practices and the ability to effectively manage and mentor development teams. An outstanding Scrum Master should have excellent interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills. Below are some of the key things you'll need to excel in:

  • Guides and coaches the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.
  • Gets team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
  • Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
  • Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicates effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team.
  • Works with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams.
  • Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.
  • Works with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow within the role.
  • Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
  • Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Design Sessions, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Retrospective, and Sprint Planning sessions
  • Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements.
  • Planning and organizing demos and product/system testing.
  • Tracking project processes, collecting deliverables, and monitoring financials.
  • Preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholders.
  • Works with Product Owners and Developers to communicate objectives cross-functionally so that project goals are understood by all team members and can be completed in a timely manner.

What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred (i.e. Computer Science, Information Technology, Business)
  • Certified scrum master preferred.
  • Consulting firm experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions preferred.
  • Leadership and management experience.
  • Excellent people and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work a hybrid schedule, where the candidate will be required to work 2-3 days in the office each week.

The salary range for this position considers multiple factors influencing compensation decisions, such as skillset, previous experience, certifications, and various business & organizational requirements. Being hired at or near the top of the range for this role is uncommon, as compensation determinations rely on individual circumstances. Currently, the base salary range is estimated to be between [$80,000 and $130,000].
