We are seeking a skilled and experienced Controller to join our Hubbard Hill team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and financial management, with a proven track record of overseeing accounting operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Experience in non-profit roles is beneficial. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting and supporting strategic decision-making through accurate financial data.

Duties

• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
• Utilize Blackbaud accounting software for financial reporting
• Be involved with budgeting processes, collaborating with department heads to align financial goals with organizational objectives
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all accounts are accurately represented and ensure accurate financials
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
  
  
  

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger reconciliation, regulatory reporting, payroll processing, accounts receivable management, budgeting practices, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong leadership capabilities with effective communication skills to collaborate across departments.
