Job Summary: We are looking for someone to help our scholars believe in themselves, achieve their dreams, and contribute to their community. As an Assistant Coordinator, you will be responsible for training and supervising our custodial team, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining our custodial equipment. Your efforts will maximize efficiency and protect our equipment assets Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Train and mentor new custodial hires - Assess and recommend equipment needs for custodial and maintenance - Teach workplace safety and policies to new custodial hires - Communicate and demonstrate housekeeping standards to the team - Collaborate with stakeholders to establish sustainable housekeeping standards - Set goals, observe performance, and collect data on custodial staff - Inspect custodial work to ensure it meets our high standards - Research and work with industry experts to improve housekeeping methods - Conduct performance evaluations for custodial staff and building engineers - Coordinate summer cleaning programs and district-wide trainings - Maintain facility mapping for maintenance purposes - Use preventive maintenance software to keep sites in good condition - Direct special services teams, such as the paint crew and carpet installation crew - Assist in maintaining painting and carpet replacement schedules - Hire and manage custodial team members in accordance with union agreements - Facilitate regular meetings with building engineers for collaboration and staff development - Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: - Ability to plan, design, and deliver training - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Strong supervisory, analytical, and problem-solving skills Required Work Experience: - Minimum of eight years of housekeeping and facilities equipment management experience Required Supervisory Experience: - Minimum of five years of management experience or a combination of degree and relevant experience Physical Requirements: - Must be capable of performing all physical activities required of a custodian - Capable of working in confined spaces - Capable of working at heights License/Certification: - First Class Boilers license within three years (chief boilers license preferred) - CPO certification within one year (preferred) - EPA underground tank certification within one year (preferred) Salary Range: $90,433 - $102,462 (Please refer to the provided salary grids for detailed information) Work Schedule: 225 work year Job Type/FTE: Full-time Bargaining Unit: Management Personnel I-M Desired Start Date: August 4, 2023 Benefits of joining Osseo Area Schools: - Meaningful and impactful work - Opportunities for professional growth - A variety of benefits and more Equal Employment Opportunity Statement: Osseo Area School District ISD 279 is an Equal Opportunity and veteran-friendly employer.
