Position Overview
As a Data Engineer III under the guidance of our Department Leadership, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, planning, and developing innovative data solutions for our organization. Leading the charge in data transformation, you'll be responsible for crafting efficient and high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our members while fostering strong collaborative relationships across departments.
Experience
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in provisioning, configuring, and developing solutions in Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Synapse, and Cosmos DB.
Eight (8) years implementing software development methodologies.
Extensive experience with relational databases, including building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
Proficiency in root cause analysis, Source Control and management tools such as Azure DevOps and Gitlab/GitHub, and transforming requirements into Design Concepts and ERDs using tools like Visio.
Hands-on experience with cloud orchestration, automation tools, and CI/CD pipeline creation (minimum of five (5) years).
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering from an accredited institution required.
Key Qualifications
Strong knowledge and understanding in areas including DevOps, Python or Java or Json (HL7/FHIR is a plus), data privacy practices and laws, common SDLC models (Waterfall, Agile - Scrum, and Kanban), Non-relational database (NoSQL) designs using MongoDB and others, relational databases like MS SQL Server, and fluency with at least one scripting or programming language such as Python.
Experience with message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable 'big data' data stores.
