Position: Admin Secretary

Position Summary: Under general supervision, the Secretary/Dept Secretary position performs clerical functions for the Plant Engineering Department including answering phones, typing alpha/numeric reports and financial documents, and maintaining a filing system. Uses a general knowledge of maintenance in dispatching calls to service technicians. This Secretary/Dept Secretary position supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.

Job Duties/Responsibilities: Receives incoming calls, takes and relays messages, and answers routine questions as necessary. Completes requisitions, reports, records, and employee documentation in an accurate and timely manner. Types relatively complex or technical documents. Establishes and maintains an efficient filing system for the department. Participates in and supports a process to improve performance of services.

Qualifications

Education, Training, Experience and Licenses/Registrations Required:

Minimum of high school diploma with computer experience using Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience in a hospital setting or maintenance/service company is preferred

Physical And Sensory Requirements

• Ability to understand maintenance problems.
• Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions.
• Ability to understand and instruct personnel concerning human resource information.
