Job Opportunity: Vehicle Technician at Penske

Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and safety checks on vehicles
  • Utilize Penske's tools and technologies for repairs and diagnostics
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks, including tire replacement, vehicle component lubrication and replacement, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance
  • Participate in technician training and receive hands-on coaching
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members on projects and tasks
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair is a plus
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Problem-solving skills and comfort using tools
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and in various environments
  • Basic computer skills
  • Adherence to safety regulations and policies
  • Willingness to undergo background screening, drug screening, and physical examination as required
Physical Requirements:

The physical and mental demands of this role include:

  • Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods
  • Routine use of hands for grasping, reaching, touching, handling, and operating tools and controls
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in all weather conditions
  • Adequate vision and hearing for safely navigating the work environment
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed
