- Perform maintenance and safety checks on vehicles
- Utilize Penske's tools and technologies for repairs and diagnostics
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks, including tire replacement, vehicle component lubrication and replacement, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance
- Participate in technician training and receive hands-on coaching
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members on projects and tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair is a plus
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Problem-solving skills and comfort using tools
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team and in various environments
- Basic computer skills
- Adherence to safety regulations and policies
- Willingness to undergo background screening, drug screening, and physical examination as required
The physical and mental demands of this role include:
- Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods
- Routine use of hands for grasping, reaching, touching, handling, and operating tools and controls
- Ability to work safely at heights and in all weather conditions
- Adequate vision and hearing for safely navigating the work environment
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed
