JOB SUMMARY: Director of Supply Chain Management (SCM) provides leadership for materials management; implements, monitors and assures an integrated and coordinated supply chain management program based on the operational needs of the assigned pavilion within the Harris Health System. Plans, directs, organizes and coordinates purchasing, inventory management and supply distribution. Has responsibility for oversight of the SCM department to include: financial, operational, and strategic management. Develops and implements cost of service and uses reduction strategies related to technology assessment, planning and management activities for the Harris Health System; provides direct oversight of supply management and guidance to the entire pavilion. Responsible for planning, staffing, and effective and efficient utilization of System resources to better serve the patient satisfaction of services rendered.
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: BA/BS Business Administration with emphasis on Supply Chain Management or related fields required. Master's degree preferred. CMRP or CSCP certification highly preferred.
Work Experience (Years and Area): Seven (7) years' experience in Supply Chain Management, with at least four (4) years' experience in the acute healthcare sector.
Management Experience (Years and Area):Five (5) years' management or supervisory experience in Supply Chain, Healthcare or Business Management
Equipment Operated: Personal computer, calculator, fax, copier
Special Requirements
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact); Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking); Writing /Composing: Reports
Other Skills: Analytical; Mathematics; P.C.; Word Proc
Work Schedule: Flexible
