Position Summary
Following Kellen Best Practices, the Education Associate will support the assessment, design and development of education, and accreditation initiatives on behalf of Kellen’s nonprofit clients. We’re looking for someone who works well in a team environment yet can lead a project on their own. Must be detail oriented and organized, self-motivated, and comfortable with both in person and online delivery of education. Experience with association education and Continuing Education (CE) implementation is preferred.
Essential Functions
- Manage education and accreditation projects as a business partner with internal staff and any external vendors to ensure a balance between time, quality, and cost.
- Assess education and accreditation needs of clients to create effective and efficient plans for solutions and services that address specific requirements, potential growth, and constraints.
- Assist with the design and development of innovative and outcomes oriented online education solutions.
- Assist with the budget process in line with project plan and scope of work.
- Plan and host live events- providing minor tech support for Zoom platform. (Events are hosted on some evenings and weekends)
- Committee Management; including, but not limited to: agenda and minutes preparation, assisting with new and ongoing strategies, and governance.
Ongoing Development
- Serve as a supportive resource and coach for Kellen staff responsible for ongoing implementation of education, certification, and accreditation programs for their clients as well as to ensure quality delivery of administrative functions handled outside of the department.
Other duties that align with the mission and vision of the company as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an education, accreditation, or related role.
- Familiarity with professional societies and/or associations preferred, including those in healthcare.
- Ability to establish credibility and build collegial relationships with all levels of staff and volunteers.
- Experience working with and motivating a volunteer workforce is desired.
- Polished communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.

- Hybrid Work Environment: All employees located within commuting distance of one of Kellen’s offices are required to go in on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Flexibility in going into the office additional days may be necessary.
- Extended Work Hours: The nature of this role may require more than 40 hours per week to fulfill job responsibilities. Additionally, flexibility in working nights and weekends may be necessary. Longer hours, travel, and weekend commitments are typically associated with conferences or special events.
- Office Equipment Usage: The role routinely involves the use of standard office equipment, including but not limited to computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
