What You’ll Be Doing (and Why You’ll Love It)
This isn’t just a job—it’s your opportunity to get hands-on and lead key projects that will shape the future of our products. Here’s what you’ll be up to:
- Design & Develop You’ll create PCB schematics and layouts for embedded systems, including Battery Management Systems (BMS) and related technologies, using tools like Altium, Cadence, and Eagle. You’ll be at the forefront of designing systems for the future.
- Lead Projects You’ll lead PCB development projects, driving them from initial concept to full integration and production. Your designs will be manufacturable, giving you ownership of the entire lifecycle.
- Full System Development Cycle From design to validation, testing, and support, you’ll oversee each phase of the systems engineering lifecycle, ensuring everything works as intended.
- Documentation Creation You’ll produce internal engineering documentation and customer-facing reports, including assembly processes, quality requirements, and production guidance.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration You’ll work closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to solve complex engineering problems and find innovative solutions.
- Test & Troubleshoot You’ll troubleshoot issues with power electronics, sensors, and communication protocols, ensuring the final product is reliable and performs at a high level.
- Manage BOM & Supplier Collaboration You’ll manage the prototype Bill of Materials (BOM) and work with suppliers to ensure smooth, efficient manufacturing and delivery of your designs.
- Stay Ahead of Trends You’ll keep up with the latest advancements in electrical engineering, integrating new technologies and best practices into your designs to stay ahead of industry trends.
- Quality & Compliance You’ll ensure that all designs meet regulatory and safety standards and manage first article inspections for prototypes to guarantee quality.
- Work Independently You’ll have the autonomy to manage your projects, make key decisions, and adapt to changing needs—all while having a significant impact on the business.
You’ve got the experience, the skills, and the passion to make a difference. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Experience You have 5+ years of experience in PCB design, embedded systems, or industrial board design, with significant exposure to the full development cycle—design, prototyping, testing, and optimization.
- Skills You are proficient in PCB layout and electrical engineering principles, and have hands-on experience with power electronics, Battery Management Systems (BMS), communication protocols, and testing equipment. Experience with embedded software or collaborating with suppliers to optimize designs is a plus.
- Education You hold a Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Communication You’re a strong communicator, able to explain complex ideas clearly to team members and stakeholders. You excel at managing projects and ensuring they stay on track.
- Curiosity & Motivation You are constantly looking for new opportunities to learn and stay ahead of trends in electrical engineering. You are proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic about tackling new challenges.
