The Electrical Engineering Intern will work with the Engineering Manager and Director of Operations to create an appropriately scoped project list addressing immediate business requirements for our Manufacturing processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting of electronic components, including component obsolescence support.
  • Product and process improvement as related to electro-mechanical systems.
  • Support roll-out of new engineering projects as related to product specifications.
  • Assist in the design and development of electrical/electronic systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed to support AMETEK, Inc.’s Mission Statement and company goals.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Individuals must be able to present and discuss project plans,
  • requirements, test results, etc. in a team based work environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Technologies / Skills

  • Project Management experience a plus
  • Exposure to LEAN methodologies
  • Experience with ERP system (Oracle)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Compensation

Employee Type: Hourly

Salary Minimum: $40,000

Salary Maximum: $50,000
