Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1)Assisting with maintaining Air Traffic Control Communication Systems; 2) Assisting with solving electronic equipment and maintenance issues and correcting deficiencies; 3) Assisting with interpreting drawings, plans, and specifications to identify and correct deficiencies, and resolving operational problems and recommending improved procedures; AND 4) Analyzing circuits utilizing schematics, wire diagrams, blueprints, and engineering drawings, and make rough drawings of interconnecting wiring, in conjunction with maintenance and installation of electronic equipment. Physical Demands
Work may require considerable physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking over rough, slippery or uneven terrain, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, working in cramped spaces, recurring lifting of moderately heavy items (such as test equipment) ofless than 50 lbs. (23 kilograms), climb ladders to various heights (up to 70 feet); and work outside in all types of weather conditions.
Work Environment
Work environment involves high risk of exposure to potentially dangerous situations working in hazardous areas in close proximity to the airfields. Exposure to high noise levels, RF radiation, electrical hazards, machinery, various weather conditions to include moderate exposure to rain, cold,
and/or heat and high humidity. The incumbent is required to utilize personal protective equipment and foul weather clothing.
