Job Summary

The Estimator position plays an important role within the Advanced Analytical Solutions Proposals organization, with responsibility for creating and managing proposals for the spare parts lifecycle (Yokogawa and third-party). This includes understanding customer requirements, developing pricing strategies, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring that proposals meet deadlines and compliance standards.

Duties

• Review client requirements and specifications for spare parts needs and translate them into tailored proposals.
• Coordinate with sales, procurement, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure the proposed solutions are feasible
• Prepare clear and comprehensive proposal documents, including technical specifications, delivery schedules, and terms and conditions.
• Maintain a database of historical proposals and pricing to support future proposals and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, contractual terms, and industry regulations when preparing proposals.
• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure timely submission of proposals and follow up with clients to answer queries.
• Track proposal progress and ensure the timely submission of all required documentation.
• Receive, review and enter customer purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, or a related field. Applicable experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in proposal writing, sales support, or spare parts management.
• Strong knowledge of spare parts products and services, with an understanding of pricing strategies and procurement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to tailor content for different audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple proposals at once.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with teams like procurement, engineering, and logistics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), as well as familiarity with proposal management software.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet proposal deadlines.
• Experience with tender management, including responding to RFQs (Requests for Quotation), RFPs, and contracts.
• Demonstratable ability to plan and deliver large value and/or complex parts proposals.
• Must have the ability to work independently, work well under deadlines, and use judgment in every phase of the estimation process.
• Must be willing to problem solve and provide ideas for process improvements
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and SAP is required.
