Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the financial operations and planning activities for an assigned department, service line or practice area of Centra.
Responsibilities
Assists w/developing/carrying out the goals/objectives of the department, service or practice area.
Assists in training and developing other team members with projects as needed.
Assists management and other departmental personnel with financial analysis budgets/other financial requirements.
Coordinates meetings/prepares all supporting documentation
Defines assumptions/presents financial analysis/budget information in a logical format with sufficient support.
Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail, and proactively brings recommendations for improvement to the attention of management.
Demonstrates business acumen in developing financial analysis including identifying/communicating material direct/indirect financial implications.
Demonstrates flexibility to adjust to workload, effectively prioritizing projects to meet the needs of the organizational demands.
Demonstrates responsive service to service line leadership in an accurate/timely manner.
Demonstrates the ability to work independently/efficiently.
Develops methodology/prepares necessary financial analysis to assess the business impact of proposed projects and operational changes.
Ensures appropriate expense and revenue allocations.
Interprets financial information/provides concise verbiage/findings to leadership.
Participates in learning opportunities that enhance personal/professional growth such as, Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care reimbursement methodologies, w/ appropriate regulatory issues.
Prepares the necessary financial analysis to assess different alternatives/business impact of proposed joint ventures; keeps abreast with current reimbursement methodologies including Medicare Medicaid and Managed Care; understands/uses available financial and Decision Support Systems to prepare analysis.
Provides requested regulatory reporting that is in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelors degree with major in Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience
Preferred Education: Masters in Business Administration
Required Experience: Three to five years of advanced analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
Preferred Experience: Five to ten years of accounting experience. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience with financial and decision support systems.
