Role Overview

Reporting to the Manager of Provider Education, the Provider Educator will play a vital role in facilitating detailed analysis, reporting, training, education, and support for providers and care teams across internal and external medical offices. The primary goal is to promote accurate clinical documentation and identify risk adjustment opportunities through chart reviews and analytics.

Responsibilities

Educate internal and external providers on condition identification, documentation, and coding.

Ensure providers receive training on CMS compliance and guidelines.

Foster collaborative relationships with providers, office managers, and internal teams.

Stay updated on health plan, Medicare, AMA, ICD-10, and documentation changes.

Conduct chart audits to identify areas for improved documentation.

Identify potential chronic conditions and missing treatment plans.

Educate providers on Risk Adjustment, HCC, CMS Documentation Guidelines, and MEAT.

Flexibly accommodate provider schedules for education and training sessions.

Review completed forms for accuracy and proper designation of medical conditions.

Facilitate education sessions with providers via video conference or in-person.

Provide onboarding and training for new primary care providers and nurse practitioners.

Analyze coding performance indicators to identify training needs.

Develop provider improvement plans based on analysis outcomes.

Assist in the creation and revision of educational materials and policies.

Attend and participate in team meetings and training forums.

Travel as needed to support quality operations initiatives.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Foreign Medical Graduate or relevant licensure.

CPC or CRC certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).

2 Years Of Experience In Risk Adjustment/Documentation Preferred.

Proficiency in Google Suite or equivalent software.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Resourceful, initiative-driven, and results-oriented.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, shifting environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Capacity to work cross-functionally with multiple teams.

Strong reasoning and critical thinking abilities.
