The Formulary Analyst plays a crucial role on the Formulary Strategies Team, responsible for ensuring accurate input and maintenance of formulary data in the formulary management system. This position requires a keen attention to detail, analytical skills, and an understanding of formulary design.

Position Summary:
The Formulary Analyst plays a crucial role on the Formulary Strategies Team, responsible for ensuring accurate input and maintenance of formulary data in the formulary management system. This position requires a keen attention to detail, analytical skills, and an understanding of formulary design.
What you will do:
Formulary Data Management:
- Input and maintain formulary information in the formulary management system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational and regulatory guidelines
- Regularly update formulary data to reflect changes in drug availability, pricing, and therapeutic alternatives
- Create member facing documentation and manage formulary websites
- Coordinate submission of formulary and clinical benefit changes to claims processor
- Assist Formulary Strategies Team with pulling claims utilization reports to support the development and implementation of utilization management protocols
- Communicate formulary changes and updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Respond to inquiries related to formulary status and coverage criteria
- Ensure that formulary data and processes adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Collaborate with compliance to conduct audits and address any identified issues
- Maintain department process documents to ensure compliance
- Prepare P&T meeting materials, schedule meetings, and document meeting minutes
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field or Associates with relevant experience required
- 1-3 years of managed care or PBM experience, preferred
- Time management, organizational, and multi-taking skills
- Proficiency in using formulary management systems and related software
- Knowledge of pharmacy benefit design, drug utilization management, and healthcare regulations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Familiarity with Medispan or First Data Bank terminology preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
