Job Supervisory Responsibilities:None

Location:Jacksonville, NC

Schedule:Monday – Thursday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer service-focused individual to join our front desk and call center team in our Jacksonville office. This position plays a key role in ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience for patients and requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Register patients and verify/update all demographic information for accuracy
  • Scan insurance cards and photo ID
  • Confirm active authorizations for visits
  • Ensure HIPAA disclosure forms are on file
  • Collect copays and reconcile payments
  • Schedule and check out patient appointments
  • Answer and transfer phone calls professionally
  • Scan documents and shred all paperwork each afternoon
  • Close out cash drawer and process credit card transactions at day’s end
  • Maintain extensive communication with patients, including those experiencing pain or distress
  • Accurately document in our Electronic Health Record system (we useeClinicalWorks)

Qualifications

  • Previous front desk, medical office, or call center experience preferred
  • Ability to speak clearly, calmly, and professionally under pressure
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • High level of discretion in handling Protected Health Information (PHI); HIPAA compliance required
  • Professional and pleasant demeanor at all times when interacting with patients, staff, and external parties
  • Comfortable using EHR systems and general office software
  • Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently and as part of a team
