FSQA Systems Coordinator - #246060

John Soules Foods is an industry leader in fully cooked chicken and beef items produced at three further processing facilities located in Tyler, TX (headquarters), Gainesville, GA, and Valley, AL. JSF is committed to delivering the highest quality and safest products in the industry.

The Corporate FSQA Systems Coordinator will play a pivotal part in upholding John Soules Foods' rigorous company standards for food safety and quality. This position reports to the FSQA Director and is located in Tyler, TX.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Redzone FSQA electronic record keeping system for all three facilities.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for supporting FSQA Managers at each facility with ongoing training of FSQA staff on proper execution of the Redzone application on the production floor real time.
• Audit FSQA monitoring processes to ensure procedures are accurately executed according to documented programs.
• Coordinate the development and verify all applicable reporting required from the electronic database to support internal and 3 rd party audits as well as regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate FSQA process improvement and Kaizen activities to enhance efficiency and data reporting to drive product quality improvements.
• Assess and report compliance to proper implementation and use of Redzone.
• Provide technical support by maintaining Redzone database for all three processing facilities through developing effective FSQA compliance verification checks.
• Provide solution focused ideas to support Continuous Improvement efforts that drive operational excellence.
• Complete special projects, duties, and assignments, as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

Education:

• A Bachelor of Science degree is preferred in Food Science, Meat/Animal Science, or related science discipline such as chemistry, biology, or microbiology.
  
  

Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in food processing and quality management, meat industry FDA and USDA-regulated products preferred.
  
  

Skills / Proficiencies

• Technical aptitude with data management systems such as Redzone, SAP, M3, etc.
• Ability to analyze data and information as it relates to plant programs.
• Ability to travel up to 50% to other facilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work on high profile projects and execute to a specific timeline.
• Capacity to work with others to identify opportunities.
• Ability to listen and consider all ideas while working in a team environment.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word proficiency.
