Job Summary

The Girls Assistant Volleyball Coach at Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School supports the head coach in developing and maintaining a competitive volleyball program while fostering student-athlete growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship in alignment with the school’s mission and values.


Job Responsibilities
  • Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices, drills, and game strategies
  • Support coaching during games, including player rotations, skill development, and in-game adjustments
  • Help monitor and develop student-athletes’ skills, discipline, and teamwork
  • Promote sportsmanship, accountability, and respect among players
  • Assist with organizing equipment, uniforms, and practice setup/cleanup
  • Supervise athletes during practices, games, and team activities
  • Ensure compliance with school, conference, and athletic association rules and policies
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff as needed
  • Support off-season training, conditioning, and team development activities

Job Requirements
  • High school diploma required; coaching experience preferred
  • Knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, rules, and strategies
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach, athletic staff, and administration
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes
  • Availability for practices, games, and team events (including evenings and weekends)
  • Must pass background check and complete required school/diocesan training
