Location: This is a hybrid student position based on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus.
The Purdue Research Software Engineering (RSE) Center, part of the Rosen Center for Advanced Computing (RCAC), is seeking a talented and motivated Web Developer to enhance website content, layout, and accessibility. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the RCAC website and other RSE-related projects, contributing to high-impact research computing initiatives. As a Web Developer, you will collaborate directly with the RSE Program Manager, RSEs, and Purdue researchers to implement innovative web solutions and improve user experience and compliance. You’ll gain hands-on experience in web development, project management, client interactions, time management, and cross-functional collaboration. Required Qualifications
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Actively enrolled Purdue Student
- Experience with front-end web frameworks (React, Vue.js, and Laravel)
- Experience with CSS frameworks (Bootstrap)
- Experience working with web applications
- Experience with user-friendly design
- Familiarity with Vanilla JavaScript and GitHub
- Timely communicator and efficient collaborator
- Familiarity with ADA compliance and web accessibility guidelines
