Position Summary:
Democracy Forward is seeking a Graphic Designer to design, produce, and coordinate digital and print publications, promotional materials, and multi-media. The position is a member of the Policy & Public Affairs (PPA) Department reporting to the Director of Communications, and will work collaboratively with the team to meet Democracy Forward's design needs.

Democracy Forward is seeking a Graphic Designer to design, produce, and coordinate digital and print publications, promotional materials, and multi-media. The position is a member of the Policy & Public Affairs (PPA) Department reporting to the Director of Communications, and will work collaboratively with the team to meet Democracy Forward's design needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create design solutions for social media posts, digital advertisements, slide decks, memos and reports, printed materials, and other collateral, ensuring brand alignment, cohesive messaging, and visual consistency across print and digital platforms.
- Coordinate with internal teams from the design concept phase through project completion.
- Translate data into easy-to-understand visualizations.
- Contribute to creating original branding for organizational projects and initiatives.
- Create compelling, platform-specific content for social media channels.
- Manage multiple projects at once, balancing timelines and stakeholder needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Other duties as assigned to support the department.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and/or Sketch/Figma.
- Experience designing dynamic, text-based graphics.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and ability to design accessible materials.
- Proven ability to handle projects, set priorities, manage details, and follow-through independently.
- Flexibility and a willingness to take on tasks large and small.
- Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills, including planning, keeping organized files, and problem solving.
- Ability to both adhere to a style guide and push the style forward.
- Knowledge of what delivers impact in presentations, publications, and social platforms.
- Well-developed collaborative and interpersonal skills including demonstrated self-awareness, commitment to diversity and inclusivity, and ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse cultures and backgrounds.
