Our mission is to make shopping effortless and seamless for our guests What the role of a Guest Advocate provides: - Ability to communicate and interact with guests to create an inclusive experience - Problem-solving and decision-making skills to positively impact guest experience - Adaptability to different guest interactions and situations - Experience promoting and selling various benefits, offerings, and services Responsibilities of a Guest Advocate: - Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting every guest - Engage in friendly and genuine conversation, asking open-ended questions to understand each guest's shopping experience - Assist guests in self-checkout and scan and bag items efficiently and safely - Minimize guest wait time while maintaining accuracy and guest service - Inform guests about brand launches, store activities, and events - Educate guests about the benefits of the REDcard and assist them with the application process - Familiarize guests with the Target App and its features - Guide guests on enrollment, activation, and usage of fulfillment services - Handle returns and resolve guest concerns following Target's policies - De-escalate any negative situations and recover the guest shopping experience - Provide seamless service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, Registry, and Photo guests - Maintain a clean and organized work area - Stock supplies during store open hours - Express gratitude after every guest interaction and ensure guest satisfaction - Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance - Perform other duties as needed WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR You might be a great fit if: - You thrive in a fun and energetic environment - Providing exceptional service excites you - Interacting with people and making things easy for others is fulfilling to you - You prefer a dynamic job that doesn't involve sitting at a computer all day Skills you should have: - Effective communication, using positive language and attentiveness to guests' needs - Welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members - Attention to detail while multitasking - Willingness to educate guests and sell products and services - Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technology needs - Ability to work independently and with a team Additional requirements: - Accurate cash register operations and cash handling - Ability to handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds - Flexibility in working schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays - Regular attendance is necessary Roles include: - Guest Advocate (Cashier) - Front of Store Attendant (Cart Attendant) Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) If you have a disability and require assistance during the application process, we will provide reasonable accommodations upon your request as required by applicable laws.
