ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT
As a Guest Advocate, you will be an advocate for excellent guest service. You will welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations through positive interactions. You will also promote and sell various benefits, offerings, and services, both in-store and digitally. Your goal will be to make shopping effortless and seamless for our guests.
What You Can Expect as a Guest Advocate:
- Ability to communicate and interact with guests to build an inclusive guest experience
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions to positively impact guest experience
- Ability to adapt to different guest interactions and situations
- Experience promoting and selling various benefits, offerings, and services
Responsibilities:
- Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting every guest
- Engage in friendly conversation with guests throughout each transaction
- Assist guests at self-checkout and provide necessary support
- Efficiently scan and bag items in compliance with safety standards
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining accuracy
- Inform guests about brand launches, store activities, and events
- Promote the benefits of the REDcard and assist guests with the application process
- Show guests how to use Wallet and other features in the Target App
- Provide information and assistance with fulfillment services
- Handle returns with empathy and in line with Target policies
- De-escalate negative situations and recover the guest shopping experience
- Deliver excellent service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, Registry, and Photo guests
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Stock supplies and be available to assist guests
- Express gratitude after each guest interaction and ensure guest satisfaction
- Adhere to ethical conduct, safety, and compliance guidelines
- Other duties as assigned based on business needs
