Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our IT Support team as a Tier 1 Helpdesk Technician. In this entry-level position, you will be the first point of contact for technical support, assisting users with a variety of IT-related issues and ensuring prompt resolution of incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming support requests via phone, email, and chat in a professional and timely manner.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end-users, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Assist users with password resets, application access, and basic network connectivity problems.
  • Provide clear and accurate instructions to users and follow up to ensure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 support or appropriate teams as necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge base articles and documentation to improve support processes.
  • Participate in training and development sessions to enhance technical skills and service techniques.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent work experience
  • 2 - 3 yrs Help Desk experience helpful
  • Warehouse/distribution experience (3PL preferred) helpful
  • Corporate office experience preferred
  • Proficiency on computer, using MS Office (Excel, Work, and Outlook) required
  • Effective professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Active driver’s license in good standing

Physical Job Description

  • Typical Working Conditions: Primarily work is performed in an office environment with minimal exposure cold, heat, chemicals, fumes, etc. Occasional travel by car or plane to other Biagi Bros, Inc. locations.
  • Equipment Used: Will work with the following: computer equipment (servers, PCs and laptops), network equipment (switches, routers, cables, etc.), phone systems (cell and office), low voltage building wiring (network, phone, etc.), printers (laser, impact, etc.).
  • Essential Physical Tasks: Lifting and carrying computers and printers (not to exceed 50 lbs.), lifting and carrying boxes of equipment (not to exceed 50 lbs.), crouching under desks and other office furniture, climbing ladders.
