PURPOSE:
To provide comprehensive human resources support across the Safe Children Coalition, with a primary focus on DCF-funded staffing needs. This role is responsible for the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, data management, and ongoing integration. Ensures the accuracy and integrity of HRIS data and maintains detailed records for compliance and operational efficiency. Serves as a key contributor to HR strategic initiatives and departmental projects. Manage and enhance the Employee and Manager Self-Service systems for DCF-funded personnel, ensuring user support and continuous system improvement.

Ensures the accuracy and integrity of HRIS data and maintains detailed records for compliance and operational efficiency. Serves as a key contributor to HR strategic initiatives and departmental projects. Manage and enhance the Employee and Manager Self-Service systems for DCF-funded personnel, ensuring user support and continuous system improvement.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of employee and applicant data in the HRIS, ensuring compliance with organizational and DCF-specific requirements.
- Generate and manage routine and ad hoc HRIS reports, including weekly/monthly metrics such as birthdays, anniversaries, and MVR reports.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trainer for the HRIS platform; assist staff with system navigation, requisition creation, and other functionalities.
- Manage the pre-hiring process for DCF-funded positions, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer letters.
- Coordinate pre-employment steps such as phone screenings, reference checks, background screenings, and drug testing documentation.
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, time-to-fill, and source of hire to improve efficiency.
- Maintain a talent pipeline database and build candidate pools for future openings.
- Design, distribute, and analyze candidate experience surveys to enhance the recruitment process.
- Lead onboarding for new hires, including the preparation and signing of required documentation, policy acknowledgments, and system training.
- Serve as a liaison between new hires and hiring managers to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
- Ensure all screening, assessments, and compliance-related activities are completed in accordance with DCF and organizational guidelines.
- Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding HRIS, onboarding, policy, and documentation.
- Process employment verifications and assist with employee status changes impacting payroll and personnel records.
- Maintain accurate job descriptions and support the HR policy database for DCF-funded positions.
- Participate in and support departmental HR projects, such as audits, especially those tied to DCF-funded program goals and strategic initiatives.
- Minimum AA degree. Preferred BS in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or relevant field. Minimum 1 year in Human Resources and/or practice in a similar capacity is preferred. Some experience in benefits and/or payroll is a plus.
