We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team and contribute to our dynamic workplace culture.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and enhancing the Club's HR operations, with a focus on payroll, compliance, employee engagement, and development.

Position Overview

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for supporting the daily functions of the HR department. This includes overseeing payroll processing, managing employee relations, maintaining compliance with labor laws, and driving team member engagement programs. The ideal candidate has strong HR knowledge within the hospitality or private club industry and a passion for service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws (I-9, E-Verify, ADA, EEO).
• Maintain accurate records in HRIS and manage benefits administration, ACA, OSHA, COBRA, and other compliance programs.
• Conduct audits on personnel files and insurance invoices.
• Manage employee documentation, background checks, and onboarding records.
• Support the recruitment and hiring process, including job fairs and community staffing initiatives.
  
  

Payroll & Benefits

• Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
• Oversee benefit enrollments and conduct open enrollment sessions.
• Collaborate with insurance carriers and audit monthly invoices to prevent overpayments.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  
  

Employee Engagement & Culture

• Plan and implement employee engagement events and wellness activities.
• Support recognition programs, birthday celebrations, service awards, and team appreciation events.
• Maintain internal communications through newsletters, bulletin boards, and departmental updates.
• Champion the Club’s culture of hospitality, warmth, and service excellence.
  
  

Employee Relations & Training

• Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, fostering an open-door culture.
• Work with managers to address performance, conduct, and policy issues in a fair and consistent manner.
• Design and deliver new hire orientation and supervisor training on HR best practices.
• Ensure proper documentation for FMLA, STD, and Workers’ Compensation cases.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a hospitality or private club setting.
• Strong payroll management knowledge and experience with payroll systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and service excellence.
• Experience managing benefits, employee relations, compliance, and engagement initiatives.
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $25-$27/hour (based on experience)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
