The IT & Business Systems Technician will handle the company’s information technology (IT) operations and business software solutions, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service.

The IT & Business Systems Technician will handle the company’s information technology (IT) operations and business software solutions, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems and department.
- Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure and business solutions
- Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
- Oversees security of systems, networks, enterprise information, servers, and cloud storage.
- Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
- Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Learns the Syteline system and act as the Company subject matter expert (SME), providing training and understanding to company employees about pertinent roles, responsibilities, and uses.
- Coordinates and oversees migration process for Syteline ERP system from Version 8 to Version 10.
- Coordinates multisite IT systems via the company’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system - Syteline.
- Mines SQL data, making regular imports/exports on a scheduled and unscheduled basis, as required for systems integrity.
- Coordinates with departmental leaders within the company to develop and create reports for their respective departments based on desired metrics and KPIs as a means to measure and monitor their improvement and growth.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a necessity.
- Proficient in latest technology for IT systems and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other related business software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Through understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company’s goals.
- Strong background and working history in Information Technology, Business Systems, and related areas required.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, standing, and kneeling while working on a computer, peripherals, and related solutions.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
