In this role, you will lead a dedicated team of corporate systems administrators while also taking on hands-on technical responsibilities. Your contributions are…
- Lead a team of corporate system administrators and oversee their performance
- Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying dependencies and risks
- Effectively manage and allocate IT budgets, ensuring value and cost optimization
- Translate business needs into IT solutions that drive organizational success
- Present updates and recommendations clearly to program and company leadership, customers, and external stakeholders
- Support process improvements, identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Effectively negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships
- Maintain personal technical proficiency across required systems and platforms
- Design, build, and set up IT environments from the ground up when required
- Implement effective solutions for switching, routing, and network infrastructure
- Configure and maintain virtualization environments and cloud platforms
- Perform hands-on technical work when needed to support project objectives
- Evaluate and implement appropriate security controls for IT systems
- 15+ years of experience in systems administration
- 5+ years of experience leading a team
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with switching and routing
- Experience with virtualization (VMware)
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure, as well as with GCCHigh
- Experience with storage systems
- Experience supporting multiple users simultaneously and using Jira ticketing systems
- Familiarity with CMMC (NIST SP 800-171) requirements
- Proficiency in classified IT environments and IT Asset Management
