Essential Job Functions
- Oversee daily operations of all IT systems, including servers, storage, POS, surveillance systems, and gaming platforms.
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal uptime and reliability across all casino and back-office environments.
- Manage network architecture, firewalls, and switches to support secure and scalable operations.
- Manage vendor relationships and technology contracts, including service level agreements (SLAs) and renewals.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of IT components for the upcoming permanent casino expansion.
- Ensure the physical and virtual infrastructure supports all business functions, from gaming to hospitality and finance.
- Implement cybersecurity protocols in accordance with Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) regulations and internal policies. Monitor system access and usage to prevent breaches, fraud, or unauthorized activities.
- Coordinate regular audits and maintain compliance documentation. Lead a team of IT specialists and technicians; assign tasks, provide training, and oversee performance.
- Collaborate with departments (Casino Operations, Security, HR, Finance) to align IT services with business needs.
- Provide high-level technical support and escalated troubleshooting when needed.
- Maintain and test disaster recovery plans to ensure minimal disruption during system failure or data loss.
- Ensure data backup protocols are executed and validated consistently.
- Support the integration, maintenance, and monitoring of gaming systems, player tracking, slot systems, and loyalty programs.
- Liaise with game vendors (e.g., IGT, Aristocrat) to resolve technical issues and manage updates or patches.
- Maintain and enforce up-to-date documentation including system diagrams, data flow maps and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Evaluate new technologies and propose upgrades or enhancements to support business goals.
- Generate reports for executive leadership, regulatory bodies, and internal audits.
- High School/GED, college preferred
- 5+ years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license from the Illinois Gaming Board.
- Proven experience managing and maintaining enterprise-level systems and infrastructure in a 24/7 environment.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team..
- Experience with systems integration, network architecture, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience supporting compliance with PCI-DSS, SOX, or other relevant standards.
- Proficiency in managing servers, storage, backup solutions, virtualization (e.g., VMware), and cloud services.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of driving technological change and innovation
- Proven track record of enhancing IT infrastructure and security in a multi-faceted organization
- Flexibility to work on-call or after-hours to address urgent system issues in a 24/7 hospitality environment.
- Experience in the "casino" gaming industry and supporting Casino gaming applications (Konami, Great Plains, Domain logins, etc.
- Exposure and knowledge of Continuous Improvement initiatives
