Journeyman Electrician - Dallas/Ft. Worth
About this role: We are currently looking for Journeyman Electricians to work on a commercial electrical remodel project in Dallas/Ft. Worth. Experience in commercial remodels is required. This role is ideal for electricians with experience in commercial new construction and remodels
Work will begin on-site in Dallas/Ft. Worth with additional projects available in Texas and surrounding states for those open to travel after project completion.
Travel is paid along with per diem and mileage (drive time included) when working on out-of-town projects
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Total compensation between $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
    • Based on license(s), experience, etc.

Travel:
  • On average 2–3-week sprints and back for a weekend.
  • Travel is paid by company
    • Airbnb provided (Your own room)
    • Per Diem
    • Travel mileage and drive time paid to and from the project

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and connect control systems, power distribution systems, electrical switchgear, including components such as switchboards, panels, load centers, motor control centers, breakers, transformers, and disconnect switches. Use multi-meters for measuring voltage, amperage, resistance, and more.
  • Connect branch circuits, feeders, and controls, including terminations, panels, and equipment.
  • Diagnose, repair and resolve problems with circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Ensure all work complies with codes and safety regulations.
  • Perform layout for various tasks, including overhead and in-wall rough-in.
  • Generate complete materials lists for assigned scopes of work.
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical systems. Test circuit continuity for compatibility and safety.
  • Maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Assist other employees as needed.
  • Inspect jobs upon completion for quality, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Maintain good working relationships with team.
  • Observe safe work practices and follow safety procedures. Assist team in maintaining a safe work environment. Implement safety procedures and precautions.

Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least four years in the electrical trade.
  • Current state Electrical Journeyman license.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of electrical theory, NEC and local codes
  • Ability to travel by car and plane, with overnight travel for extended periods of time.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Advanced knowledge of hand tools, testing equipment, and other commonly used trade equipment.
  • Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostics ability. Embrace quality control processes. Good attention to detail. Follow process and procedure.
  • Current OSHA 10 certification.
  • Current Elevated Work Platform certification preferred.
  • Current Lock Out/Tag Out Training certification preferred.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
  • Current NFPA 70E Arc Flash Training certification preferred.
