We are seeking a Fleet Coordinator to join our team in Pompano Beach, FL. Excellent starting wage and benefits package, including 401k Company Match and Profit Sharing!

The Fleet Coordinator will be responsible for performing clerical duties within the transportation department including maintaining all regulatory compliance as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT). Assists in coordinating fleet-related risk management, such as safety and accident prevention programs. Focuses on Policy & Regulatory Compliance, Fleet Management, Accident Investigation & Claims Handling, Driver Training, and overall safety. Reports to the Transportation Manager.

  • Monitors driver compliance files and works with DCs to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies
  • Leverages fleet safety and telematics data to identify coaching opportunities, works with BDMs to mitigate risks
  • Performs safety review of fleet installed video cameras and management of all follow up and tracking
  • Partners with the Regional Safety and BDMs to create and develop training tools for fleet drivers to improve safety capability, performance, and culture
  • Assist the BDM will accident investigations and coordinates with insurance company
  • Key stakeholder on the Incident Review Committee
  • Liaisons with equipment leasing companies to maintain 100% accountability of assets

Requirements

  • Experience in private fleet management or a related field
  • Knowledge of DOT and Hazardous Material Compliance requirements
  • Understanding of technical aspects of transportation equipment
  • Experience utilizing safe driving programs to develop a safe driving culture
  • Experience analyzing telematics data to identify unsafe driving habits (Geotab preferred)
  • Prior delivery driving experience preferred (CDL experience a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills to identify areas of improvement
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, and customers
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow up practices

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, balance and use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp and move a variety of materials. Walkways are concrete and/or metal grating. Employee may be exposed to high, precarious places. The warehouse environment can be hot (or cold) and dusty.
