Job Overview

Brilar LLC is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Landscape Bed Care Technician to join our dedicated commercial landscaping team. In this vital role, you will maintain beautiful, weed-free beds, apply fertilizers and pesticides safely, and enhance the curb appeal of our clients' properties. Your work will directly support Brilar's commitment to excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Perform landscape bed care services including weeding, bed preparation, planting, mulching, and maintaining healthy trees, shrubs, and flowers.
• Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers safely and effectively according to label instructions and all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain valid commercial pesticide applicator certifications (3A, 3B, and 6).
• Keep landscape beds free of weeds and ensure overall bed health.
• Inspect, operate, and maintain equipment in safe, working order.
• Drive company vehicles between job sites, ensuring the crew and equipment are transported safely.
• Keep accurate records of chemical applications and maintain compliance documentation.
• Communicate with the Operations Manager regarding site conditions, service quality, and any concerns.

• Perform snow removal services during winter months (training provided if no prior experience).
• Report all incidents, injuries, equipment malfunctions, and vehicle damage immediately.
• Conduct daily DOT inspections and maintain safety compliance.
• Represent Brilar LLC professionally in all client and public interactions.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Valid commercial pesticide applicator license (3A, 3B, and 6) - candidates must bring their license to the interview.
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
• Minimum 1 year of experience applying pesticides in commercial landscaping.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, wind, rain).
• Availability to be on-call 24/7 during the winter season, including holidays and weekends, with flexibility for long shifts as needed.
• Ability to read maps, follow instructions, and complete tasks thoroughly and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical, with consent to random or post-incident testing.
• Landscape, horticulture, and plant health care experience preferred.
• Snow removal experience (sidewalk crews, heavy equipment operation) is a plus.

Work Schedule

• Full-time
• Primarily Monday to Friday during the landscaping season (April-October)
• On-call availability required during winter season for snow removal
  
  

Work Location

• Based out of Brilar LLC's Oak Park, MI location with travel to commercial job sites as required.
