We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to attorneys and help manage the day-to-day operations of our legal practice. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.

- Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and correspondence.
- File legal documents with courts and administrative agencies, ensuring compliance with deadlines and procedures.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date physical and electronic case files.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, provide case updates, and answer inquiries.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court appearances for attorneys.
- Assist clients with completing forms and gathering necessary documentation.
- Conduct legal research using online databases and resources to support case preparation.
- Summarize legal documents, deposition transcripts, and other relevant materials.
- Prepare case summaries and chronologies for attorney review.
- Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling meetings, hearings, and travel arrangements.
- Answer phones, screen calls, and take messages for attorneys.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails, prioritizing urgent correspondence.
Education:
- Associate’s degree or certification in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal assistant preferred.
- Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Adaptability and willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities as needed.
