Location: Candidate must be willing to travel to our office in Des Plaines, IL to be considered as this is an in office role

Hourly rate: $25- $28/hour

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage large amounts of incoming calls and treat each caller with respect and empathy
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with clients through open and interactive communication
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using our firm’s case management software.
  • Handle client’s stressful situations, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives, and properly direct calls to the appropriate attorney.
  • Log customer interactions using our case management software.
  • Scan and route documents to the appropriate case using our case management software
  • Ask questions when unsure of our processes

Qualifications/Skills

  • 1-3 years as a proven administrator/receptionist or alternatively, be highly organized, goal-oriented and willing to learn legalese to adapt to our industry.
  • Legal experience is a huge bonus
  • Arriving at work on time is important, i.e. 9:00am.
  • Must proofread and correct documents – electronic and paper – before documents leave our office
  • Empathetic and compassionate phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Familiarity with personal injury law and workers’ compensation law and practices is a bonus
  • Client-oriented and ability to adapt/respond to different personalities of clients
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
